Custom Decks

Deck Builder in Wenatchee, WA

Wenatchee Construction is a licensed deck builder serving Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Chelan, Manson, Leavenworth, Cashmere, Entiat, and Orondo. We build new composite and wood decks, view decks and multi-level decks, deck stairs and railings, and we repair and reface decks that still have good bones.

We work with composite decking and aluminum railing systems in both black and white every season, so we know how the profiles fit together, how they move in valley heat, and which details keep a deck tight through years of freeze-thaw.

What We Build

Decks built for how the valley lives outside.

Flat lots, steep lots, walkout basements, and orchard-edge properties, we've framed on all of them.

New custom decks

Ground-up builds sized to how you actually use the space, from a compact grill landing to an entertaining deck.

Composite & wood decking

We build in both. Composite for low upkeep and color consistency, cedar and pressure-treated when you want real wood.

View decks

Layouts and thin-profile aluminum railing that keep the river, orchard, or ridge line in front of you instead of behind pickets.

Multi-level decks

Stepped platforms that follow a sloping lot so you get usable flat space without a wall of stairs.

Deck stairs & railings

Stairs with even rise and run, plus railing in cedar, composite, or aluminum in black or white.

Repair, refacing & under-deck finishing

Reface a sound frame with new decking and railing, replace failed boards and posts, and finish the space underneath.

Common questions.

Composite or wood for our climate?
Both work here, and the deciding factor is upkeep. Wenatchee summers are hard on wood finishes, so a cedar or treated deck wants cleaning and re-coating every couple of seasons, while composite handles the sun and winter freeze-thaw with a wash and nothing else. Wood costs less up front, composite costs less over time, and every estimate is free.
How long does a new deck take?
Most residential decks are framed and finished in one to three weeks on site, depending on size, height off the ground, and railing type. Permits, inspections, and material lead times can add to the front end. You get a target window in the written estimate before we order anything.
Do you repair existing decks?
Yes. We replace failed boards, posts, joists, and railing, and we reface decks where the framing is still sound but the surface is done. We'll tell you honestly when a rebuild is the better spend.
Do I need a permit for a deck?
Often yes, depending on height, size, and whether the deck attaches to the house, and rules differ between the City of Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Chelan County, and Douglas County. We handle permit paperwork and inspection scheduling as part of the job so you're not the one calling the counter.
