Custom Outdoor Structures

Custom Outdoor Structures in the Wenatchee Valley

Wenatchee Construction builds custom outdoor structures for properties in Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Chelan, Manson, Leavenworth, Cashmere, Entiat, and Orondo. That means deer-proof garden and orchard enclosures, footbridges, under-deck rooms, and small one-off builds that don't fit a catalog.

This is the work we're known for locally. If you can sketch it, we can build it, and we'll tell you up front how it needs to be framed to survive valley sun, wind, and snow.

What We Build

One-off builds are our normal.

Cedar framing, hog-wire panels, pergola tops, and hardware chosen to outlast the project.

Deer-proof garden enclosures

Cedar-framed hog-wire enclosures with pergola tops that keep deer out of raised beds and young trees.

Orchard & fruit tree enclosures

Taller runs sized around existing trees so you can net or gate a block without fencing the whole property.

Footbridges

Short-span timber bridges over irrigation ditches, swales, and dry creek beds, with railing where there's a drop.

Under-deck rooms

Turn the space under an elevated deck into a covered patio or storage room with lattice, siding, or finished walls.

Small outdoor builds

Garden gates, arbors, planter walls, trash and equipment screens, benches, and firewood shelters.

If you can sketch it, we can build it

Bring a napkin drawing or a photo you saved. We'll figure out the framing, materials, and what it takes to hold up here.

The Valley Specialty

Deer-proof garden and orchard enclosures.

If you garden in Chelan, Manson, or Leavenworth, you already know the routine: you put in tomatoes, apple whips, or a row of berries, and something eats them before you do. Deer come through at dusk, rabbits work the base, and netting draped over hoops lasts about one windy week.

We build permanent cedar-framed enclosures with hog-wire panels, tall enough that deer pass by, tight enough at the ground that rabbits can't slip under, and open enough that you still see your garden. A cedar pergola top adds height, filtered afternoon shade, and something to run vines or bird netting from when the fruit sets.

  • Cedar posts set in concrete for orchard wind and hillside grade
  • Hog-wire panels framed tight to the rails, no sag, no bottom gap
  • Self-closing gates wide enough for a wheelbarrow or garden cart
  • Optional pergola top for shade, vines, or seasonal netting
  • Laid out around existing beds, paths, and mature fruit trees

02

Build

Permits handled where required, materials staged, and a crew that keeps the site clean while the work moves.

03

Walkthrough

We walk the finished project together, handle any punch-list items, and leave you with care notes for the materials used.

Common questions.

How do the enclosures actually keep deer out?
Height and a continuous barrier. We build the walls tall enough that deer won't commit to the jump, keep the hog-wire tight to the framing so there's no gap at the bottom, and hang gates that close on their own instead of getting propped open. Where rabbits are also a problem we add finer mesh along the base.
What size should my enclosure be?
We lay it out around your beds, paths, and trees, so you can get a wheelbarrow through and reach every bed without stepping over plants. Most home gardens land somewhere between a single raised-bed surround and a walk-in room you can spend an afternoon in. Size, height, gate count, and whether you want a pergola top are the main cost drivers, and every estimate is free.
Can you match an existing structure?
Yes. We match post size, board profile, stain, and hardware style so a new enclosure or addition reads as part of the original build. Send photos ahead of the walkthrough and we'll bring samples that get close.
How does a one-off project work?
We start with a site walk and your sketch or reference photos, then come back with a written scope, materials list, and price. Once you approve it we build and finish with a walkthrough, same as any other project.
